I almost chickened out and stopped setting up this blog. I thought; what am I an egomaniac, who wants to read what I have to say. But then I thought, maybe nobody will read it and that's ok. I've never kept a diary or a journal before, so I'll give this a try and see if I like it.
I'm a 50 year old woman. I still think of 50 as my parent's age. I've been married for 26 years and have 3 sons. God knew what he was doing when he gave me sons. I love my boys, they are all so different from each other. My husband and I are still in love. My parents are still healthy and active, they are 85 & 80 years old. I have a close and loving extended family, some great friends and a job that I love. Wow, I am truly blessed by God! Sometimes you have to point things out to yourself. I really am blessed! I'm going to keep that in mind today.
Well, this is my first blog. I like this so far.
Greetings, I try to catch your husband's photos and leave a comment when his photo catches my eye! Today, he mentioned you having your very first blog and to check it out. So here I am, and just so you can get the feel of this blogging thing.... I'll be a follower! You can tell your friends about your blog so they can follow you too! A very fun thing (besides just writing about stuff) is playing some of the blogger's neat games. Like your hubby has surely shown you Carmi's Thematic Photographic themes every week. He's at "Written Inc" Kind of fun, maybe you'll join too. You can post any photos, on his theme, you don't have to be a photographer either...most of us aren't! LOL Anyway normally one doesn't write this long....so enough said! Welcome and have fun! Karen
ReplyDeleteThx for checking out my blog and becoming a follower Karen. I like the look of your blog.

DeleteI have been following your husband's photography for at least a year or so. His artistic eye makes me envious. Welcome to Blog World!
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. E. Steve does have a good eye doesn't he. Good luck with the play and thx for the welcome!
DeleteHi Cel,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the blog world! When I first started my blog I was very self-conscious about what I wrote. But my daughter gave me great advice. She said, "Mom, it's your blog. Write what you want!" And that's true. I think you'll find it really fun.
Hi Melissa. I think your daughter is right. If people find my blog uninteresting, they don't have to read it. Thx for writing.
DeleteI heard from an old friend yesterday and have some new blog friends. That's nice. Steve, my husband is always telling me interesting things about his blog friends. It's amazing that we are able to connect with so many people.
ReplyDeleteSteve has a Lucy Kaplansky song playing right now. It's my favorite Lucy song. It's called The Red Thread. Every time I listen to this song, it pulls at my heart. If you can, give it a listen.
Have a nice Sunday.
Found you via your husband. I so enjoy his photos. Hoping you enjoy your new venture!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. Your photos are beautiful.
DeleteMy friend Marian had hip replacement surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago. She is starting to get bored while recuperating. I suggested she start a blog. I wonder if she will.
ReplyDeleteHi Cuz! Looking forward to reading your blog!
